About Our Program
The Call to Make Disciples
Jesus gave every believer the incredible privilege of going into all the world, preaching the gospel, and making disciples. But what does it truly mean to be a disciple?
To understand that, we look to Jesus. His approach was simple yet powerful:

Our Next Steps program is built on this foundation. We aim to make disciples just as Jesus did, through individual, one-on-one, and small group discipleship.

Program Resources
1. Next Steps Discipleship Course
The Next Steps Discipleship Course is an 8-week, comprehensive small group journey designed for churches to host once a week. While it includes structured lesson materials, this is not simply a class, it’s a discipleship group.
The course helps new believers grow in their faith by immersing them in the Word of God while building authentic relationships within the church community. Through teaching, conversation, and fellowship, participants begin to understand what it means to follow Jesus and walk with Him daily.
When developing the Next Steps Discipleship Course, we asked a crucial question:
What should we teach that is rooted in Scripture, not tied to any specific church or denomination?
Our answer came from Hebrews 6, where Paul outlines what he calls the “elementary teachings” every believer should understand. These foundational truths include: repentance, faith towards God's word, water baptism, the laying on of hands, eternal judgement, and the resurrection of the dead (miracles).
In addition, we included the biblical teaching on worship and prayer, helping new believers learn how to genuinely seek the Lord in both personal devotion and corporate settings.
You can find a description of the weekly topics here. We do not encourage changing any of the material included in this course as it has been tried, tested, and endorsed by over 20 pastors, evangelists, and ministers.

Eternal Judgement, Friendship with Jesus, and Living Righteous

What is Worship, Types of Worship (praise, tithe, obedience, etc), and Living a Life of Worship
Week 7 - Prayer
What is Prayer, Praying in Tongues, and What Inhibits Prayer?
Week 8 - Miracles
A Loving God, Healing God, and Supernatural God.
2. 15-Day Bible Reading Plan
A Head Start to Your Bible Reading Journey by Faith Lambert
This 15-day Bible reading plan, written by Faith Lambert, is designed specifically for new believers who are beginning their walk with Christ. It’s more than just a reading schedule, it’s a guide to developing a personal, life-giving relationship with God through His Word.
Each day, readers are encouraged not only to read scripture, but also to ask God for revelation, reflect on His truth, and build a healthy prayer life. This resource helps lay the foundation for intimacy with Christ through consistent time in the Bible and meaningful prayer.
Each day includes selected readings from:
the History Books, Psalms, Proverbs, or the Prophets, the Gospels, and the Epistles
All daily readings center around a common theme, helping new believers see the unity and consistency of God's Word across different parts of the Bible.
This plan also encourages readers to pray for revelation and insight, laying a strong foundation for both scripture engagement and a healthy prayer life.

3. Life Coaches
Life Coaches are everyday Christians who have answered the call to personally disciple others in their faith journey. Each Life Coach commits to walking closely with up to four new believers at a time, offering encouragement, accountability, and spiritual support.
Selected from their local church community, Life Coaches partner with the church’s discipleship team to help new believers stay connected, grow spiritually, and become rooted in the body of Christ.
For a minimum of four weeks, Life Coaches reach out to their disciples daily—through calls, texts, or in-person meetings—to provide:

Prayer and spiritual encouragement

Biblical mentoring and support

Ongoing fellowship and church engagement
Their goal is simple yet powerful: to walk alongside new believers as they take their first steps with Jesus, helping them stay grounded in faith and connected to the Church.
4. First Steps Videos
The First Steps Videos are a short, impactful video series designed to immediately engage new believers as they begin their walk with Christ. These videos provide clear, foundational teaching on what it means to follow Jesus; perfect for those who have just made a decision for Christ and are ready to take their first steps in faith.
The series includes three essential topics:
"What Just Happened?" with Clara & Fela Dodd
"What is the Bible?" with Aidan Lambert
"What is Repentance?" with Faith Lambert
These videos help new believers understand the transformation they’ve just experienced, introduce them to the Word of God, and lay the groundwork for true repentance and relationship with Christ.
We encourage every new believer to watch these videos before attending their first Next Steps meeting, making them the perfect launching pad for a life of discipleship.
