What is the Prophetic Ministry?
At Lambert Ministries, we believe it is crucial for the fivefold ministry to be displayed fully in order to edify the body of Christ. One of these such offices that is so often ignored is the prophet. The prophetic ministry aims to edify the office of the prophet by hearing, declaring, proclaiming, and speaking out the Word of the Lord. Take some time to learn more about our prophetic ministry below.

What is prophecy?
What is a prophecy? Dr. Michael Brown defines prophecy as a "miracle of knowledge, a declaration or description or representation of something future, beyond the power of human sagacity to foresee, discern, or conjecture." Revelation 19:10 states "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy," this means that prophecy is for the edifying of the body and bringing the Gospel to life. "On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church." (1 Corinthians 14:3-4) Prophecy is given to man by the Lord and must not contradict with the Word of God. When someone is giving a prophecy they are being led by the Spirit to prophesy.
(1 Corinthians 13:2, Romans 12:6, Revelation 19:10)

What is a prophet?
What is a prophet? In the Old Testament of the bible, prophets were used as the method by which God spoke to man. The prophet Elijah is easily the most famous of these Old Testament prophets. He is recorded in the Bible as confronting King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, performing miracles like calling down fire from heaven, prophesying the 3 1/2 year drought over Israel, and ultimately being taken up to heaven in a whirlwind, leaving behind his successor Elisha. A modern-day prophet is someone who receives a message from God and shares it with others, edifying the body. The role of a prophet may look different today. Being that the Holy Spirit speaks on behalf of God, the role of the prophet is to bring the Church into alignment with God's Word, but the basic concept remains the same.
(1 Kings, 2 Kings, Deuteronomy 18:20-22)

Who can prophesy?
Who can prophesy? Anyone filled with the Holy Spirit can! The gift of prophesying is one of the spiritual gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit described in 1 Corinthians 12. In 1 Samuel 10:10b it states, "and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them." While some may be authentically prophesying, unfortunately there are what the bible refers to as "wolves in sheep's clothing". These are false prophets who speak as though they are a prophet (and/or are prophesying) but, what they prophesy does not align with the Word of God, and is typically centered around comfortability, not conviction. If God gives you the gift of prophesying, the Word He speaks through you will always be justifiable by the Bible.
(Acts 13, Deuteronomy 18:20, Micah 2:11, 2 Timothy 4:3)

Dream Interpretation
Everyone has a way of hearing God and for some it comes through dreams and visions. While dreams and visions may seem to be simple at face value, they have deeper meanings that should be explored to get the full message. In the bible, Joseph used dream interpretation to prophetically speak into the lives of the butler and the baker. Three days after the interpretation, the dreams had come to pass as they had been spoken by Joseph. When done correctly and guided by the Holy Spirit, dream interpretation can be a powerful tool. Through our dream interpretation ministry, we offer you free interpretations for the benefit of your faith. (Genesis 40:5-23)

Meet our Director
Kelly Prendiville
Prophetic Director
Kelly has been following Jesus for as long as she can remember. There wasn't a specific day that she recalls not believing in Him, but she does remember at 8 or 9 when something "clicked" and there was a new fire in her. She started actively asking for more opportunities to learn and do. Thankful for a mother who made sure to give her those opportunities, Kelly spent a lot of time at conferences, camps, serving, and leading. She doesn't remember a time when she didn't hear the voice of the Lord. Growing up learning that "God talks to us directly and we can talk to Him directly. God hears us and we hear Him", paved the way for a relationship built on asking God anything and everything, and expecting to hear Him. This included dreams even as early as 4 years old, though she didn't realize she was dream interpreting until much later. Childhood was filled with "knowing things" as well, which she would much later realize was words of knowledge and prophetic words. As the years went by, her foundation of hearing God and talking with Him grew. She has now served on a prophetic team at church, seen lost people come to Christ because of a prophetic word or a dream interpretation, and used what she hears from God to serve and help others in her day-to-day life.
Outside of prophetic ministry, Kelly loves serving with the youth and discipling the next generation. Proverbs 31:25 is one of her favorite verses, and she loves to read the Bible and do deep studies of it, including in the original languages. She also loves nature and the outdoors, spending as much time exploring and doing outdoor activities as possible. Anything with water is her favorite!
